Please help for a rookie ferrari buyer! What items should be part of a well kept 89 TR? Things like records, manual, tools are probably obvious, but what else should be with the car? (luggage?, etc.) By the way, I have never seen a TR Toolkit, what should be in it? Is there one manual book, or more? What key services should have been done to the car that the major would not cover? Any other suggestions as far as what to ask or check before completing the purchase? The car I am interested is an 89 TR with 17300 mi which, according to the current owner, had the major service completed. Asking price is $69K. The car is in New York, and I am in California. Any suggestions as to how to proceed with the examination, purchase of the car? Any good dealers to take the car for an inspection in New York? How much do does run? What mechanical things must be verified to ensure car's health? California owners: Bringing the car into California, what issues do I expect from the DMV? Is there anything I should do before the purchase to comply with California laws? Transportation: Which companies would you guys recommend? How about flying over an trailing the car home? (Sounds insane but I am in love!) Any suggestions, ideas, advice, recommendations will be deeply appreciated. Thanks, Caribe. |
