Gigantic SUV's and minivans...with females paying absolutely zero attention...except to their make up, lattes, hair, and someone elses money......
Any Pickup truck...is this country ALL trailer trash?
Overtly overpriced women in high priced cars that I'm sure they never paid for.
And of course ANYONE in an Aztec....did someone at GM design really think that was a cool design?
Finally.........any cop car...marked or unmarked!!
:-))))ahhhhh, now that feels better!!

Riced up imports with bug catcher bumpers and triple stacked wings driven by kids with no respect to other drivers, and yes cop cars of course.

If you put a lot of wax on that Chevy with the powerslide it will cut thru the wind like a hot knife thru butter and another tip would be to take the floormats out for added weight savings then you will see 100 M.P.H. in no time right Ed?!

You're probably right Ed but the question is how long does it take to get to 100 is what matters. There are also many reasons why we have more than 2 spd tranys now. I would like to know how many bent pushrods that good ole chevy would have after that display of performance. In the case of a powerglide, the cars they came in were shoe boxes and overdrive wouldnt help because of the lack of aerodynamics.

I hate it when about once a month I see a cop (that's not in emergency mode) speeding and or changing lanes without a signal. I promptly match their speed and hope they'll say something to me about. They never do even when I pass them. I actually had one come flying up on my bumper (in the slow lane) and make a pass with no signal a couple of days back. I gave him the worst look I could muster as he passed and then smoked him in my gs400 a bit further down the road. He eventually pulled into Home Depot. Irks me.

A Chevy Impala with a Powerglide transmission can go 100 MPH in 1st gear. Overdrive will increase your top speed in most cases.

Randy I was hysterical when I saw that trans am pic. because there is a mid 80's camaro near me with the exact same setup. I hate it when people drive late 70's boats impalas buicks etc. and think they are fast and worth a lot because they have v8's in them even tho they have no h.p. I also hate people who say my car is fast it goes 100 m.p.h in first gear (I have actually had someone tell me this more than once) I also hate people who say my car is fast because it has overdrive. I seriously hate seeing drunks on the road most of all.

PT cruiser. An old boring design and shape will always be that to me.It's not retro its boring. It's like people that got a 4 door nova from the 60's and think it is a great car because it is now old. PLEASE STOP.Just because a car is old does not make it cool or collectible!!!!!

-- Avalanche (can't stand those gawd aweful commercials!)
-- most SUV's (because they dont know how to drive them)
-- that Buick SUV-thing (because it looks like spare parts from left over Aztek's with eye liner)

oooh and this one! I actually saw this yesterday downtown in Austin! Man, my eyes still hurt! Also note, if you do live in Austin, this picture (not taken by me) is in the Arboretum! oooh gawd, it hurts just to look at it.

I agree with Ernesto's post. Also, beware any mondo gas hogging SUV monstrosity where you cannot see the head of the driver (usually female, usually on the phone) when you are behind them. And, any SUV driven by a male in rainy/snowy/icy weather. Their unflinching belief that the laws of physics do not apply to them because they have 6500 pounds of 4WD macho metal beneath them is only exceeded by their unconscious desire to be an all-time Darwin Awards Top Ten hall-of-famer.

The cars I hate most seeing on the road are cop cars, especially with radar guns. Got a ticket the other day for going 50mph in a 40mph zone. Funny, since I had been doing over 100mph for most of the day.

Cars driven by people who think they are the police, you know, going exactly the speed limit in the fast lane, and being passed by everyone, because the limit is too low. People who don't look before moving over a lane. People who haven't the faintest clue about how to drive, who when making a right turn, move into your lane on the left to make sure they make the turn, without looking.

Those sorts of drivers should be removed from the road. At times I think that force should be used.

Cars I can't see over/around/through are a problem but usually it is the DRIVER of a vehicle that bothers me and not the CAR. Of course some cars attract certain kind of drivers and that's why everyone mentions the boxster or Z3. I have never seen one of these things going over the speed limit. The other day we (a friend in a TR and me in my fiat dino) had to choose between lining up behind a chrysler sedan or a boxter at the last stop light out of Pacifica, CA heading towards "Devil's Slide" on HWY 1. The two lanes merge to one just after the stoplight and we hoped the boxster dude would take off faster so we wouldn't all get stuck behind the chrysler through the twisty roads. Of course he not only let the chrysler in front of him, but then proceeded to drive like a grandma and the chrysler was way a head of him within a mile. why not just drive a minivan? any chick attracted to the car is going to dump him in 15min anyway when they find out how much of a good citizen he is!

Yes people that drive without insurance. I don't like that at all.

A better comparison would be a Camaro (I assume your are discussing LS1 ver.) with a 360 etc.
Or a 78-80s Camaro with the 308.

I hate seeing junkyard heaps on the road spewing smoke - but worst of all I HATE...GET VICIOUS when I see a car full of kids and they are not seatbelted or in a child's seat- THAT sickens me.

although there are many cars i would not have if you gave them to me, i get by without expending a lot of negative emotion about them. so to answer the question in a different way, the thing i hate to see the most on the road is TRAFFIC ! there is nothing worse than just getting the fcar out on the road, rounding the corner, or getting to the top of the on-ramp, and seeing wall to wall cars at a crawl or dead stop. that is one of the most frustrating things to life in london.

I love all cars, especially pre-1980 cars in mint condition, don't even care if it's a Pacer, just love the fact that they look like classics in mint original condition. How about a 77 Monte Carlo, now that's certainly an original design. Or a 77 BMW 320i with shiny chrome bumpers, just awesome!

I'm quite surprised to read that much car snobbism on this board. It is quite hard for me to find absolutely no interest in most "sports" cars out there, including German and Japanese cars. I'm really not into SUV, Trucks and most luxury cars, but hey, I don't hate them!

I personally hate poor drivers. That includes tailgaters, people driving slow in the left lane, people that cannot stay within their lane, etc...

I think it is sometimes important to remember that people are not what they drive and that most people think of a car as a machine to go from point A to point b

CADILLACS driven in Florida by GTs. Yes, with all due respect, I will at one point become old. But I promise to drive faster than 45 on Interstates. I also promise to always use my turn signals... which is obviously an unused option on Cadillacs and Lincolns. I also promise to look first, then change lanes, not vice versa. If my neck is old and stiff, I promise to use Advil before I twist the key.

So ridiculously common and they all act like it's a special car that not everyone can get. Can't be common if you're going to be special. Boxsters and Vettes, gag. Special is rare IMO, ie. Poorly driven ones. Think about it: the better the car, the more irritating it is to see it being driven badly; some chewed up jalopy just barely chugging along is pathetic, but as long as it stays right, it is not something to rouse anger. I tend to view the SUVs as laffable these days, since the people driving them are so often driving the stereotype, and don't seem to have a clue. I just move around them, 'cause they are hopeless. (yes they make me mad, but they are like lower life forms). But i really do hate people who have hot cars and drive them like assholes, like the guy in the very nice BMW who is talking on the phone in the left lane while doing a 70mph curve at 45, and has the audacity to play lane blocking games when i flash him to move over; the **** in the new, faux jaguar who stood on her brakes at the same curve, and anybody else who thinks others must tolerate their bad driving habits...

Why is the boxster a poor man's porsche ? the car is a joy to drive and handles much better than a carrera. The S is almost as fast as the 3.4 996 with 50 hp less.

I loathe Miatas, Z-3's, and Boxters --- for my money they are all the same car.

My solution to the SUV -- "my insecurity is greater than yours" --- phenomenon is to get a Semi Tractor and drive that around town. That will put the fear into the soccer moms!!!

1. Any Pontiac...they are all ugly, especially the Aztek.
2. Any Civic, Neon or other car with the rediculous wings.
3. Cadillac Escalade and new Chevy P/U...ugliest trucks on the road today.

Anything with stickers, fake wings and/or neon lights. That, and Mustangs.

Big SUV, driver with one hand on the cell phone, the other holding a coffee and steering with the knees. I hate that!

Trucks with glass-packs. Idiots on rice-rockets driving between traffic lanes. Women that are 5 feet tall driving huge SUV's like they are the only one on the road. Police vehicles of any type approaching my rear with their lights flashing.

I agree with Willis...

Screaming kids in the back seats, latte in one hand and a cell phone in the other paying
attention to everything but the road.

I agree with Marq. The Hummer is the ugliest thing on the road. It is one thing to see it actually being used off-road, but 99% of them never see more off road than parking on the grass. What a waste.

Minivans and gigantic SUVs driven eratically by soccer moms. It's even worse here because you always see them with a tall cup of latte in one hand.

What makes me chuckle is big fat dirty "toughguys" that ride Harleys. Make no mistake about it...I love bikes but, when some load actually believes he is tough because he rides a Harley makes me laugh...simply because we both really know that guy couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper bag...just having a little fun!

Cheers

Hummer...too big, too ugly, too slow, too useless on the road.

1) Porsche Boxster - poor man's Porsche is way too common in Houston. I'd rather go with style and get a '60s/70s 911/912
2) BMW Z3 - thank goodness its end is near. Saw a Z8 in Tokyo. Now that I'd take.
3) Lexus SC430 - it just looks awful to me in person
4) Mustangs (except '60s models)
5) Camaros/Firebirds - battle it out with the Mustangs for the most purchased "sports" car in town
