Didn't someone else here mention the infamous valve guides?

The soft metal may be the connecting rods. I believe I heard some people change out the connecting rods to a stronger version (especially if racing). I am ALSO not sure about this so I would welcome a more knowledgeable person's opinion.

just reviewed this months ferrari market letter
cars for sale - all 95 355B
7400 mi - $ 106K
25000 mi - $ 85K
9300 mi - $ 107K
18000 mi - $ 105K
7000 mi - $ 108K
I was considering a 95 spider and a lot of people suggested I stay away from a 95 due to some problems - my ferrari dealer told me something about something in the engine was made out of a softer metal in the 95's ( I think he said cylander linings - not sure )but whatever the part made with the softer metal was, he did tell me that if you do have a problem with it - it cost $16K to fix it. might want to keep it in mind or ask around to some other more knowledgable people about this
