William, For what you can get for your Countach, have you ever considered buying and used challenge car.. 348 or 355...I've seen them around and the prices are lower than your street worthy models.. I see you love track events and I wonder why you haven't considered keeping the money in the family........ |

Go with the 993TT. Wicked fast and you gotta love that air cooled engine. |

William, from an investment perspective I would say go for the 993TT prices have come way down on them. IMO real estate is one of the last bubbles left and is due to pop. |

W. Hart: It was the David P. Goldsmith 308 V-12 conversion manual. I've got a copy and read it cover to cover. It ain't for the faint-of-heart (or pocket-book if you've got to farm out all the machining needed). All of the performance specs are in R&T Nov. 1985 (I think a long time ago, Ben L. posted a link to that article on the web). |

Remember that review of the 308/328, in which the owner shoved a 365 gtb engine; thing was allegedly a howler; guy sold a book at the time (i seem to remember it coming up on ebay some months ago) describing the mods in detail. |

I saw that on ebay, I probably would of bid on it if it didn't have the top air intake, non Ferrari looking rear bonnet, and if I could of confirmed with owner that mechanicals were orginal and in decent shape. |

Rob, no that was the 308GTB. Did you look at all the options. The interior look just like mine. Built in the same area and $15K is not bad for all of that! Maybe this is your car Rob.

I would not trade it for a Pcar but would consider a CamAm RAcer. You know though that the race cars are getting less and less valuable. There is a 308 Race Car in NYC area and it goes cheap. reminded me a little of my car. Maybe done by the same guys. I would look into that as a race car if I were you. Car was on eBay.

Thinking of trading the Countach next year, maybe for a Porsche 993 Turbo, Maybe a CanAm race car If the housing market crashes like some mags r saying maybe classic car prices will increase. |
