Thanks guys for all the feedback. I am still deciding what models to manufacture these for, but with you guys input & the numerous emails I received, there would definitely appear to be a market for this kind of product. I will keep you posted as and when the project develops. Regards, Kurt.

Kurt; just to manufacture the correct i.d. for these cars in straight would be a good idea. I approached a couple of places but they were flakey to the idea. |

I would consider buying some for my 355 Challenge but you can only see about 5 inches of hose under the hood. Due the to way the engine is oriented, most of the hoses are hidden in the front of the engine up against the firewall. There is still one or two visible and I would probably buy them in yellow or red. |

For 308 owners (mine is an '84 QV), what hoses would be supplied in the kit? I'm trying to picture the plumbing of my car and don't know which hoses would be included / not included. Thanks! |

Kurt--sterling idea! I would think that you'd sell quite a few sets -especially with so many older Ferraris out there now. I have an '85 QV and will likely replace the hoses in the near future. |

Sounds like a great Ideal. Please post the price for a 308 gtb-1978 and a 308gtsi-1980. Also might want to consider doing a/c hoses. If yoiu have been watching some of the tech threads a lot of people are finding failures in them now. |

Guys, as a proud sponsor of this site, I thought I would post here and see if there was any interest on this product. Many of you have probably heard of Hi-Temp silicone coolant hoses, but I have yet to find anybody manufacturing them for Ferrari's, that's until now. We are going to look into manufacturing them for some Ferrari cars, but have to be business wise in the sense " Is there enough of a market to support such an investment" That's where you guys are involved. I am going to have quotes for the following vehicles & colours listed: 360 Modena - Spider - Challenge (Red - yellow - black) 550 Maranello - Barchetta (Red - yellow - black) 348 TB - TS - GT - Challenge - Spyder (Red - yellow - black) 328 GTB/S (Red - yellow - black) 308 GTBi/Si (Red - yellow - black) 308 GTB/GTS (Red - yellow - black) F355 - 355F1 (Red - yellow - black) 512TR - F512M (Red - yellow - black) Testarossa (Red - yellow - black) Thats about it, I can do other colours too, but these are going to be the most popular of the range. The coolant hoses will be manufactured using hi-Temp silicone and will be a direct replacement to the factory rubber hoses, they will not swell up or split, & will last decades, as to maybe a couple years for the standard rubber hoses, plus, they can withstand a lot more heat over conventional hoses. Besides, they will look pretty darn good on any Ferrari, especially the colour coded ones. I have priced up standard hoses for the 360 Modena, and for the set of coolant & radiator hoses, the cost was over $1000.00 for the stock hoses.........Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to be able to offer the Silicone hoses for less than half that. I would like you guys opinions on this, also, if there is a market for other models too, then please, let us know. When the hoses are supplied, they will be packaged as a complete kit, this will include all the major hoses as well as new clamps. Email us with all input , good or bad, & any questions you have. Regards, Kurt. |
