Just FYI - I finally found the local company that has both a 360 and a Lambo Murci avail for rent: http://www.drivenimage.com/ they are $1,499.00 and $2,750.00 per day with 100 miles thrown in to the deal. Just funny to see the Murci parked in their lot (right of the main road - think like the strip in LV) with a RENT ME sign in the window.

-Ben

P.S. Supposedly a customer rolled the 360 last week.

They contacted me about becoming a sponsor of FerrariChat.com. They want to wait until their website is done, I'll have more information at that time, but it seems like they run a great business.

Hi Tyler, yep these are the same guys I rented from last September.

For me, it was the culmination of a lifetime dream: To drive a Ferrari through the Alps and on the Autobahn. (see other post: Best Roads to Drive Ferrari -- I just posted some details on my overall driving experience in that thread).

The whole thing went great. They delivered the car to me at Munich airport on my day of arrival, and two weeks later met me there again, and I turned it in. Paid via credit card. Then they credited my deposit back when I returned the car, and they could see there was no damage and I did not exceed the # of kilometers that came with the rental period.

Bottom line was everything was easy, seemless, and happened just like they said it would. No surprises or problems. Probably the only complaint I could possibly have was that it took about 10 days for my deposit to be credited back to my account after the rental period, but that wasn't this company's fault, it was my credit card company's fault.

To top it all off, these guys are die-hard Ferrari nuts. They've got this big collection of Ferraris and apparently just started renting fairly recently, so all the cars are brand spanking new. I got the 360 Modena and it only had about 3,000 km on the odometer when I took delivery. I know enough German to get by, and the guy said to me, "Ferrari is my life." I could tell me meant it.

A real positive experience, highly recommened for anyone who's ever dreamed of driving a Ferrari on the Autobahn and through the Alps.

These are the guys I rented from!! They told me last fall when I was there that they were going to open their North American office this spring, since nobody in their Germany office even speaks any English. That must be what this is.

I never met this Berthold Klotz guy, I dealt with a guy named Mathias. He was just great and gave me the maps of the best drives. And when I returned the car in good shape, he also gave me some Ferrari polo shirts to take home. First class guys all the way.

Got this via e-mail today. Anyone else get one?

My Fellow Ferrarista:

As Trustee of the Baron von Rüschenberg Ferrari Collection in Germany, it is
my distinct privilege to invite you to enjoy driving a Ferrari during your
next European vacation.

This introductory invitation is being extended to only a distinguished few
American Ferraristi, and offers you the luxury of your choice of any Ferrari
model, delivered direct to you at the airport or hotel of your choice,
anywhere in Europe.

Fulfill a lifelong dream of driving the German Autobahn, uninhibited by a
speed limit. Carve through the twisties of the Italian Alps, perhaps down
to Maranello for a tour of the Galleria Ferrari. Enjoy the music of the
Ferrari engine as you pass through tunnels burrowing under the Swiss Alps.
Rip through the canyons and vistas of the spectacular Austrian Großglockner
Hochalpenstraße. Any of these driving adventures are certain to be
remembered for a lifetime!

Included in our scuderia, and available for your immediate rental, are the
following Ferraris:

288 GTO, 308 GT4, 328 GTS, 348 TS, 348 Spider, 355 GTS, 355 Spider, 355 F1,
360 Modena, 360 Modena Spider, Testarossa, 512 TR, 550 Maranello, 456 GT,
F40, F50.

For your peace of mind, all rentals include extensive comprehensive and
liability insurance for the full value of the car. You will also receive a
generous allotment of complimentary kilometers, so you neednt be concerned
with overindulging. If youd like, well even provide you with
complimentary maps and driving directions, so you can spend your time
touring only the best roads and sights.

And importantly, our cars are impeccably maintained by a team of highly
qualified Ferrari mechanics, thus ensuring optimal performance, reliability,
and safety for your European driving experience.

To inquire regarding availability, receive a rental quote, or schedule a
reservation, please contact our North American Office: (402) 390-5001
(phone), (402) 390-9262 (fax), [email protected], or write to:
Scuderia von Rüschenberg, P.O. Box 241597, Omaha, Nebraska, 68124.
For your convenience, I am attaching a copy of our Rental Rates and Terms.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen,

Berthold S. Klotz, Trustee
Scuderia von Rüschenberg

P.S. Mark your calendar! Well have the new Ferrari FX available for
rental in Fall, 2003!

There is a price list attached but it's too long to post here. If anyone wants it, e-mail me and I'll send it to you. Prices are way cheaper than what they charge here to rent the same cars.
