Hey Ernie and the rest, Here is a good source of Agip oil if you use it for $6.99 per litre. Not bad since the local Alfa shop up here sells it for $9.00 a pint. And, if you don't know already, these guys have excellant prices on ignition parts ei. TR wire set both sides and coil wires are $200.00! They bought the wire directly from the Ferrai supplier in Italy and made them themselves. Now that's cutting cost. http://www.evansauto.com/agipoilp.htm Joe |

I have to admit that I do feel a bit like Ernie. No major manufacturer other than Ferrari has to monopolize the market with a set of imposed laws, etc by them. When was the last time GM went after non-OEM parts manufacturers? If parts are rare and cost a bit to get it's one thing, but another is when other parts can be had and they try and control you into buying theirs. But I guess that's the nature of the beast with Ferrari. |

See this is the BULLSH*T I'm talking about! $14.50 for a Futhermucking quart of oil! You can get Mobile 1 synthetic for $6-7, and that is the best synthetic on the market. If there is one thing I hate about owning a Ferrari is the fact that no matter what you do everytime you need something for your car you are getting ripped off! Then the lameass excuse you are given is "oh the parts are specially engineered" yeah to break all the time. |

You should try 'Superperformance' in England. They ship to USA and have a large Ferrari inventory for the Dino and 308. |

Guys, Most Ferrari parts are cheaper in Europe, but bear one thing in mind, no Ferrari dealer is allowed to ship anything to a US address. If you want to buy from Europe, you have to show up at their door & bring the merchandise home yourselves. Trutlands is able to order goods from overseas, simply because they are an authorized Ferrari distributor of parts. FNA has this base covered.

I ran into this very thing when I was getting the clutch done in my 348. I called up AP Racing in England, cause they are the ones that actually manufactured the clutch. They didn't have them in stock any more, so refered me to Ferrari of England. The prices I got from them where $200-$400 cheaper than here and that was with a 20% mark up on the parts. But I was told that they got the clamp down a few years back, and couldn't ship to the U.S. because of Ferrari of North America. Can you say Monopoly........ I think you can? |

Ted at TRutlands buys most of his parts in England. Since he is able to buy them, have them shipped to the USA and still sell them cheaper than a dealer he must be getting them for a lot less than you can get them here. |

I am going to Sergio in Italy. It sounds like it is worth the wait for parts. I am not sure if they will be much cheaper for 308 parts but I will ask them and find out. |

Consider this: One quart of Shell Helix engine oil for the 360 is over $30 at the dealership here in the US (can't buy it on the open market). The same quart of oil sells for around $10 in Europe just about at any Shell station. |

I started buying my parts from Sergio in Italy. I bought 2 front signal light assemblies from him in January. Here, they would of cost $475.00 a piece and he sold them for $309.00 a piece. It cost $50.00 shipping with DHL and arrived in 10 days. If you do not need it right now, he has fantastic prices. I am ordering two distributor caps from him now for $85.00 ea. Here the dealer wants $740.00! Here is his website and email: http://www.autoepoca.it/Welcome.html [email protected] Joe

Here in Finland (which is in Northern Europe) we only have one Ferrari Main Dealer (in our capital city Helsinki where I live in). I just bought my '89 TR and was expecting similar prices you have in US, but the parts seem to be considerably cheaper. I recently bought new Ferrari badges for my car, and payed about half the price I´ve seen some of US dealers asking. The big parts, clutches etc are around the same price (around USD 1700-2000), small service is around USD 285,- and the most expensive large service USD ~3500,-. It takes about 7-10 days to get the parts, naturally a small dealer can´t keep a large inventory. Surprisingly I got the badges and new gear knob in one day. Bad point is, I had to pay around USD 115.000,- for my car, a lot more you guys are paying... |

On most parts there is a significant diff between fna/local dealership prices and parts obtained directly or thru a broker from Europe. |

I was wondering if Ferrari parts are considerably cheaper in Italy and Europe? Is there a large diff. in price or just a slight price diff.? |
