if you contact David over at: http://www.stongardgeorgia.com/ I'm sure he would fly out to cover one or two F-cars.

Steven

I have been on the Miller list for 2 years, it really is luck as they basically sell all their new cars to existing owners and resell for higher profit your car. They make you sign a right of first refusal for the price I paid including tax, so I guess it works both ways..now I will be cycling a new car every 18months-2 years!

Would love to meet at Gails anytime. I live right on West Lane on the NY border so real close

Nick-

I live in Pound Ridge, NY, about 20 minutes from you. Just bought a 360 Spider from Shelton in Fla. How did you get such a quick delivery date on a new coupe order from Miller? Warner told me they are running 2 years on coupe wait list. Lucky you.

We are running our annual Tri-State "Rally" and get-together in late May, and will do another one in the fall. Join us, we have a lot of fun. In the meantime, let me know when you get your 360 and we can meet at Gail's Station House for breakfast one Sunday.

Jason, I'd figure I'll leave the car in the garage for a few days after I get it back. Beside the bumper, I'm having a lot of scratches taken care of as well.

Why is the paint finish on the Ferrari so soft? My cheapo Nissan grocery getter has a more durable finish.

I ordered Monday, depending on the factory, ie when they decide to build my color, the date quoted me is anywhere between May-July

I should know more precisely in 2 weeks

Nick: just out of curiousity, what is the promised delivery date for a car on which you just placed an order (and which i assume will have to be built, rather than having one transhipped from another dealer)?

Willis,
Don't stoneguard the bumper for about a week after it has been sprayed....The paint needs to cure....3M say leave it for 4 days, but I'd leave it for a week to be on the safe side

John, I'm having the front bumper repainted on Monday. It will have Stonegard installed as soon as I get the car back from the paint shop.

Tino
I drove the SMG11 on a new M3 and I agree that is an excellent system. I guess I felt the F1 was a little behind the curve and anyway, I just like the challenge with the left foot. Now if i were to track the car regularly....F1 it would be.
I feel lucky to have the choice!

Nicholas,
I first ordered 6speed and then changed to F1. I've had the car 16 months now and no regrets. I happen to think sequential will become the norm in the future. I drove the BMW SMGII and yesterday drove the Toyota MR2 with a 5 speed real sequential ($750 option). It is amazing how quickly the technology is developing and how much fun it is once you get used to it. One day we'll look at foot-clutches like we look at drum brakes now !! IM(very humble)opinion.

Willis - The problem with the front of your 360 is that the front bumber was not primed before being painted. Ferrari is considering a recall for this. Now is the time to complain to FNA.

First ordered red F1 with tan interior, then drove F1 and decided to change to Titanium 6 speed all black as red was too loud for me (I am not buying to be seen, just to drive hard!)and I personally like to try and shift as a F1!

Thanks for the advise

Nick,

Congratulations! I am up at Millers all the time... Who helped you? Warner? Great guys there... Basically, from what I know, the Ferrari club doesnt run much around the north east- but the Porsche Club of America and other clubs of that nature allow you to run with them.

When you look over the car during inspection. Carefully check the paintwork on the car. My car has a small spot where the painter overlooked and clearcoated over. I didn't see it until I got the car for a while. The paint seems very delicate and prone to scratching and pitting (if you drive it as often as I do). Do yourself a favor and apply Stonegard on the front of your car.

Check the leather carefully for flaws.

When driving the first 500 miles, try not to redline the engine too much. :-)

What color combo did you pick? Is it a regular or F1?

Welcome aboard!

Nick

Welcome- there is a hot debate about clubs in another thread (FCA/FOC) it deals with the NY region - check it out. Also there are a few of us who starting last year plan to go for drives every couple months etc, we post info here. Again welcome- one of our NY guys just got a 360 spider so you have som 360 company.

I am a new member to the board and in May a first time Ferrari owner. Just ordered my 360 from Miller Motors....
A couple of quick questions
1. Recommendations on what clubs/forums to participate in. Any local (I live in Ridgefield Connecticut) clubs?
2. Any things to look out for when taking delivery of a new 360

THanks

Nick
