Yes you're right Edward but Im wondering what kind of dollars other collectors pay for this type of collectible. If I was willing to pay $500 for a $10 dinky toy, I would be considered stupid. I figured there are some ferrari owners out there that collect scale f cars too that could shed some light on what is hard to come by and what is a dime a dozen. I dont mind spending foolish amounts on something as long as its worth it because wanting it alone isnt all that matters to me. |

A collectable is worth whatever you are willing to give for it. I just purchased a watch for $800.00 that I would have given $2000.00 for if the person had asked it. |

I have a small collecion of 18th and 43rd scale ferraris and I was wondering about the value of the older diecast models Ive seen at antique stores. I saw a 43rd 250LM in a display case today at a store. It was chipped and scratched and so on like a kid played with it for years but it was also very old, most likely from the 60's. They want $68 CDN for it. I dont know the brand because the case was locked and nobody to talk to. Just wondering about value and rarity of a 250LM toy. It was red too. I missed out on an old squallo racer a month ago. Similar condition to the LM. Paul. |
