I have to admit that even with a good, maintained car you are still gonna be sinking a bit of money into it. This is particularly true if you want to update things like electrical, windows, etc (the list can get quite long) to a more modern standard. Then of course if you go my route (and a few others) and start the mods and all it can get expensive fast. Point is, enough trouble with a good car. Starting with a car like this, may God have mercy on your soul. |

This car has been on EBAY before & didn't sell. I was posted over a month ago. Many EBAY cars always come back. It would make a good racer if the price was realistic. Also look for the fire damaged 360 in NY, it looks like the same one that was on EBAY in November 2001.

Thats the clue Magoo! How long has that car been sitting around. The car probably could have been saved if it had been dried out within a couple of days. The engine should have been pulled and all sumps covers removed and basically reassembled with new Gasket kits, electricals etc. Now - expensive club racer material or donor car for an accident damaged 308! |

Good call Bobd. It appears, when looking at the interior, that the water line may have been up to the door windows. It looks like the drivers door panel is sagging. Look at the engine compartment, you can see it was under. If that's the case ,BIG TIME PROBLEMS. Imagine the pistons corroded to the walls. |

Love the pic... looks like the water is still leaking out the driver's door. Based on the description, sounds like somebody just needs to drop a hairdryer into the interior for a couple of hours and it will be as good as new. |

Warning!!!!!!!!! I have worked with insurance claims on flooded vehicles. Without a personal inspection to determine where the waterline was in relationship to the height of the vehicle. Stay away.......Some vehicles can be salvaged and in the case of that Ferrari, which I haved viewed on ebay...if it were worth saving in reason to cost it would have been done. Although if you are looking for a race car or a parts car............go for it. |

It seems to me like you would have to put a lot of money into that car to get it into decent shape. I would think it would be easier and maybe cheaper to just buy one without all of the problems this one has and will have. |

What does the list think of this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1808731930&r=0&t=0 It seems like it would be very risky. The potential downside seems like it could be big even if one did most of the work themselves. |
