Full face. No question. Having road tested at least 10 helmets over the last few years, the open faced ones aren't as effective, and don't protect your face, thus making reconstructive surgeons more money than they are entitled to. |

I got mine from OG, I picked it up since I live in Manassas! If you can figure out what size you wear you can find one cheaper on Ebay though. |

Bret There are good places on the net OGracing comes to my mind and it's close to my area, if you don't know your size the on-line is not gonna help since you must try it out first. Find a place in your area so you get the proper size worked out first. Ciao

Where are the best places to buy racing helmets and suits? How do you size yourself properly? |

Go with a full face, no question. it is safer in the car, and it does not restrict vision as much as you might think. If you ever have an opportunity to drive an open car, an open face catches so much air it will lift you out of the car! I use OMP, but I think it is more preference... |

I need a helmet and cannot decide what type to get. Since I will be using it my street car at track events, I was thinking more the GT style. Any sugg? Also for a suit pref on OMP vs Simpson. They are both about the same price for 3 layer, yet Simpson does have cheaper custom orders which if I cannot loose the few pounds brought on by stopping smoking last year, I may have to go with. |
