This guy is an idiot. Clearly he is bad at scamming people. Putting challenge is one thing, but taking a close up picture of the HVAC controls in that condition and then trying to pass interior of the car off as "Interior: Looks very nice! No issues."

That Berlinetta looks tired for its mileage.

Nice car but I would stay away and move on.

i assumed the plastic mess was the standard "plastic rot" that you most often see in cars in very hot/humid/sunny climates (FL is famous for it). but it IS really "bubbly" not just flaky/sticky.

The motor looks a lot rougher than its shiny paint. I would stay away.

What a hilarious listing.

[[[Have you been looking for 355 Ferrari, but did not want to spend a small fortune doing it?]]]

Hee hee. So $78K is NOT a small fortune but $92K is?

[[[This was purchased for $92K just a few months ago! It was a retail-ready vehicle from a Lamborghini Dealership less than 1K miles ago!]]]

So they put 1K miles on it and are comfortable taking a $14K hit?

Very amusing.

doody.

Thanks all! What a great place for information. I wasn't really looking for a 355 yet (unless Art Chambers is selling his). I am very satisfied with my 89 328 at the time. But, super information. I would probably move on a 355 if the right one came up. Once hooked on a Ferrari, always hooked! Thanks

There is a 355TB red/tan in the boston area asking $79k. It has 28k miles + needs the 30k done. I think if you could get it for $72k-$73k and spend the $5K to do the service you would have quite a car. I'm glad that the prices are coming down a bit. I would like to get into a 355 within the next year. I think when more used 360's enter the market then you will see the prices of 348+355 drop quickly.

Scott:

Don't even go close to this car. About a year ago i looked into the same car at prestige in Florida. the car was a complete mess both mechanically and cosmeticlly. I am also 100% positive that there has been paint work done to the front due to an accident. I had purchased ferrari's from them before and all i can tell is to stay way. all their ferrari's are total sh*t.

Good Luck

The add mentions "challenge" several times in the description. This either means the dealer is a Ferrari moron, or that this car is a former challenge series race car. If the dealer is a moron - be skeptical of anything they tell you. If the car is actually a challenge version, it is probably mechanically very tired, and most likely re-painted.

In general, some of the early 95 355's had substantial problems. Take the car's VIN to a Ferrari deal, and research this thoroughly.

As always, a deal that is "too good to be true" probably is.

Caveat emptor, baby!!!

There are a number of reasons this car is priced like it is: Needs a major service (7 years), this is a 95, and they may have done a compression/leakdown test and determined this one has the bad valve guide seals, or possibly bad cylinder liners (not common). Who knows? But as always, have a PPI done and buyer beware...

77k seems a bit low, doesnt it? Are the prices of these cars really dropping that much?

Still has room for price drop. When if ever was ,maintenance done. Mileage is ok but time also matters.

Does this seem like a pretty good deal? What are current values on a 95? Are there issues with the 95? Any thoughts?
