One problem with these doors is if you roll the car onto its roof; could be a problem getting out unless you carry one of those little emergency hammers. |

I know what you mean Willis...not long ago I had to haul the 308 in an enclosed car hauler. After I pulled the car in, I didn't have hardly enough room to open the door on account of the hauler's fender well -- thank goodness my car had a targa top to climb out of! Looks like I could use a wider hauler . |

It's not that I park too close to other cars. It's just that with the wide threshold and the thick door of the 360, the amount of space available for me to exit (gracefully) becomes limited. |

Willis, hope you know the guys who park next to you if it's that tight of a squeeze! |

The Lambo swing up type or the Enzo type doors would be nice in tight parking situations. I have to be very careful when opening the 360's door in parking lots. Getting out is a tight squeeze when you have to negotiate the threshold and the small opening. Kinda have to side-shuffle out of the car. I think the Enzo type door should be a feature in future mid-engined Ferraris. The problem is how do that on a Spider version. |

I think this would really work with the mid engine cars |

I would like to see Ferrari continue using this style door system on some future cars -- I think they're great, as I've always been a big fan of this door arrangement on the Lambo's, etc. Probably wouldn't be a good idea on EVERY future Ferrari 2-seater, however. IMHO |

Are we tring to avoid the question? Do you think Ferrari should continue this style with their future 2 seaters? Doody, Lambos have been doing it for years and their cars hold up fine.... We all know that lambos are not driven as much as Ferraris so they don't have that in and out action happening as much.. I Know the lambo doors operate that way by the use of shocks and though time I guess you just need to change them when they wear out.. |

I don't think it's a copy from the Mclaren F1. The style of swing up doors are derived from Le Mans prototypes. Ferrari used them years ago on their racers. |

i've always wondered how those swing-up and gull-wing doors held up over time. are they any more prone to problems than the standard doors? doody. |

One of the most exotic things about a Lambo is the way those doors swing open... You got to love it.. I think Ferrari did a good thing when they styled their doors like the McClaren F1 on it's new F60.. Do you think Ferrari should style their future models with these doors??.. http://www.supercars.net/Pic?s=6&y=2002&m=Ferrari&o=Enzo&t=5&msg=2&pn=a.jpg |
