Welcome back home, Dave L -- it's good to hear from you as well. Glad to hear you stayed safe while screaming through the skies! I'd have to agree with your thoughts on this particular carb 308 as well. Overall, it is a good one, and the engine is very clean and appears well maintained. On second thought, a 4-valve sounds more to your liking, especially with as much seat time as you've had in various late model Lotus Esprits. Hope you're able to find the "right one" soon. | ||

Eric nice to hear from you!  Thanks for the note and I also apologize for clogging the board. This overall is a nice car. The interior will need work as the seats are just looking old. Its a good car and I have driven it. I was concerned with what appeared to be some rust etc. I think I am after a 4 valve car like yours. To the board this is a good car. If you are looking for something different in a 308, here it is. The shop mentioned is superb. Eric just had his car serviced there based on my recommendation. European Sports Car Service near Orlando is superb. Check them out. Been out of the country doing that flying thing. Nice to be back home. Just real real muggy here in the BIG Eazy | ||

Dave L, if you're still around, thought I'd pass this along in case you didn't already see it: 308 at European Sports Car Service Wasn't sure if you were still 308 shopping, but I seem to recall that you inquired about this same car a while back -- is the price more reasonable now? Anyhow, it was nice to see pics of John & Carlo's fine Italian car repair facilities. And the seller even put in a plug for Carlo! Please forgive me fellow F-chatters, but was having trouble locating Dave L's e-mail address so thought I'd contact him here. |
