House prices in Texas seem to be a little high compared to the Atlanta area. Outside the city you can get a 6000 sq.ft. house on 5 acres for $400k or so.

Actually, his house wasn't much, really, and it's on a small lot. It most definitely was NOT a mansion! What gave it extra value was the separate, extra garage/shop he added out back.

As for home prices, well, you need to move to Texas, friend, and get out of the People's Republic of California! And we also have no state income tax here, and car registrations are around $60 per year, regardless of make or age or value of the vehicle.

What is funny is he had a 400,000 mansion in San Antonio, well I live in Ventura and have a 400,000 dollar 2 bedroom 1 bath 1100 square ft home. :-( But at least I have the same motif throughout the house!

No. According to his website the F-40, 308/288 GTO conversion and 512 BB are sold. The Lola F 5000 car is still available.

That was me. Guy's name is Mel Spillman. I went to an FCA event there, actually (the previous South Central FCA regional director was a good friend of his). He had cars, and stuff, that you wouldn't believe. He had hundreds of things--posters, art, -alone cavallinos, car parts--that were still in their shipping packaging or wrappers. he was just absolutely compulsive--and it was ALL Ferrari stuff.

He even used some of the money he stole to build a second garage building behind his house to house all the cars & stuff.

I figured he had family money, even though he worked in the city clerk's office. Then the truth emerged. What he did was truly horrible & unforgiveable. he deserved all the sentence he got & more.

I did not know this show was on tonight, although I knew Fox was doing one--their camer crew was at Ferrari of San Antonio (Barrett Motors) recently to interview some of their personnel, since they helped the DA auction off some of the cars.
