Its not only the speedos on 308's that rest at 10. I know for a fact F355's and testarossas do it, and im pretty sure the rest of them do it too. |

I bought my Ferrari off of Ebay. It was located in my town and I was able to inspect and drive it before I bought it. No different from finding it in a magazine or newspaper. I would not buy a Ferrari (or any other used car for that matter) without personally inspecting it prior to purchase. |

Ken, I bought my 1980 308 GTSi on ebay. I had good communications with the seller and there were no surprises when the car was delivered. |

My speedo needle rests at 10mph also. Very nice 308 -- that one has Magnum P.I. written all over it . |

Harlan most Ferrari speedos sit at 10mph. It seems that all 308s have this. It looks like a nice car to me. |

Steve - I like your idea. I have been checking out Ebay for the same reasons - to see asking values and find cars that I might not be able to find otherwise. I am in the process of looking for a 328GTS (or a 308GTSi QV Euro) and Ebay seems to be a good source although I am not sure I want to go thru the Ebay process to buy one. I would much rather contact the seller privately to set up inspections, etc... Any suggestions? Thanks. KMT

Ken -- if you mean actually bid above the reserve and complete the transaction -- then "no", but I did use eBay as good source of potential non-dealer candidates and as a good resource to compare the asking value differences for colors/years (and did wind-up buying a particular car that was listed on eBay at one time). |

Is he taking that picture while driving? The speedo says 10mph. |
