I liked the Borla's more on the 308, but the Tubi is growing on me everyday (especially since the Borla isn't made anymore). Thanks for the heads up, I'm always looking for that next thing to swap and I think eventually the exhaust would be a good change. |

Bret, I think Tubi makes two different exausts for the 355. When my car was still a street 355 I had a Tubi sport exhaust installed. It sounded a little louder than stock and had a more high pitched whine, like an F1 car. Two years ago I had the car converted to a Challenge car. the Challenge kit comes with two exhausts, one that is quiet w/ muffler (less than 103 db's) and one that is loud (near 109 db's). The loud exhaust has no muffler and uses straight pipes and is not street legal. The quiet Challenge exhaust can be used with catalytic converters on 1995 F355 Challenge cars and run street legal. I recently ran afoul of noise restrictions at Lime Rock and Summit Point. I also had a cracked header so I talked to Tubi and they sell a GT race exhaust specifically for Challenge cars with headers and silencers. I chose this exhaust because the headers are much more durable than the stock 355 headers. The Tubi GT race exhaust can be ordered with catalytic converters I believe, so it should fit a street 355. Check with TubiUSA. The GT exhaust comes with headers, silencers, and catalytic converters (if you need them) for about $5100. You can also buy these parts seperate. Hope this helps! Regards, Jon

Hey Jon, do they make different Tubi's for a car (like several styles for each model). You say a Tubi GT race exhaust, does this mean there are other Tubis available for your car? I'm not trying to nit pick grammar or anything, I'm curious cause I like the loudest, most polluting one possible. |

Matt, Man you are racking up some frequent flyer miles. Look forward to hearing about your round the world trip when you get back. I am having a Tubi GT race exhaust installed this week and hope to have the car ready to go by the end of the month. Apparently William has been beating up on Challenge cars lately and we need you back here so that we can uphold the honor of the 355 C's. I have my first Spec Racer Ford Race next week. The economy seems to be improving but it's too early to tell about earnings. The market may have gotten ahead of itself here. Anyway, see you at the Glen when you get back! Regards, Jon

You got it right Jon. I am heading to Phnom Pen in a few minutes. I just finished checking out the Angkor Wat area. Fantastic!! Such ruins, amazing. I will be back around the end of April, and will be at every track event this summer, unless I find the trading position I will be seeking. I would like to get in a good 40 plus days at the track though, so I hope my job doesnt come through until late September. Regards from Cambodia!!!!

William, Check you Ferrari newsletter. The Southeast Region is putting on a 3 day event on the 2.25 mile track. The featured car this year is the 512TR and will also include all versions of the TR as well. If you have never been there, VIR is a great track and the facilities put some Golf Clubs to shame. Regards, Jon PS: Are you going to be at any of the Summit Point events or Watkins Glen events this year?
