Yes, $125 per wheel is about average. Try http://www.fixrim.com They might have a shop near you. Good luck. |

Todd -- If that's the "drop off the car, pick-up the car price", I'd call it "the usual retail g****". If you don't want to become a refinishing entrepreneur (which is my preference too), the other option is to split the project up where you pull the tire/wheels, have the tires dismounted, and then get the wheels to the refinisher yourself (or have them picked up) -- and then reverse the process when you get the wheels back. As I mentioned in the other thread, the wheel refinishing company that seemingly most, if not all, bodyshops in my area use is Keystone Automotive (which has various nationwide locations): http://www.keystone-auto.com/products/wheels.asp A set of 4 (not damaged) should probably be in the ~$125 each range for the refinishing (if you're talking about a stock 328 wheel) -- just to give you a reference point. |

I don't want to re-do the wheels myself...I want a pro to do it. The guy at Classic Coach here in NJ is telling me $350.00 per wheel. My wheels only have a few scratches/scuffs...seems to be expensive, no? |

I used a place in Dallas called Wheels by Adam. The local Ferrari dealership sent me to them. You might do a search on the internet for wheel repair, I found them all over the country. |

I was unable to find (in the search section) a company that can re-do my original wheels so they will look perfect. I am in North Jersey (if there is a company I can bring them to...if not I will send them to reputable company) Help! Thanks |

I had a wheel redone last month after an incident with a curb. It was scratched and dented. Search the archives, I posted a pic of it with the damage. $135 later and you have to look hard to see where the damage was. I wouldn't hesitate to take them a good wheel for refinishing. |

its all personal preference.I think changing wheels on a 328 throughs off the balance of the car.If you change the wheel profile, the wheel wells are not filled up with enough tire to wheel ratio to make it look natural. Most of the time when i see aftermarket wheels on a 308/328 i think its a kit car until i get close.newer f car dont have this problem because they are designed for 18-19inch wheels |

Jack, I actually really like the factory wheels but I guess because a couple of the wheels have scuffs on them I started inquiring about aftermarket wheels that are so fresh looking. I am a perfectionist and want flawless...Is there a company that can make my wheels look brand spanking new? By the way, nice ride. It looks exactly like mine. We should talk more often to share words of wisdom. How long have you had yours? Give me a buzz if you have a second at 973.884.9161 Cheers Todd |

Todd, don't you like the originals? I always felt that the factory wheels were one of the best features of the 328. |

I agree Ron...I like the style of the wheel on the black car. But, Are those Speedlines chrome? I don't think I want chrome...a little overkill for me. I have heard alot of good things about HRE...A buddy of mine put 545's on his silver Z06 Vette and it looks really sharp Is there a recommended aftermarket wheel company for the 328 series or is it pretty much to each his own? |

Thanks Scott. I am surprised nobody else has responded b/c I thought there were quite a few 328 owners/enthusiasts out there. Do you know what kind of wheels are on the black car? |

I was just playing with the idea of aftermarket wheels for my 1986 328 GTS (Red/Tan...I know, I have to get pics!). I was hoping some people could reply either with a recommended aftermarket wheel or with what they believed looked classy. Pictures would be awesome! Thanks! |
