I think most European cars could use a new rear differential for american driving. Relative to the car it's not very expensive. I do like the "on the fly" acceleration, but getting beat off the line by every grandma in any $2,000 dollar american car gets old.

There's a great comparison test in the new Classic Car magazine (British) between the 911 Targa and 328 gts. They're about equal on the 0-60, but the Ferrari stomps the 911 by seconds at the 20-40, 40-60 and 60-80 type tests. That's the type of "real world" driving that you feel.

The salesperson at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich CT, told me that the early version (1995) F355's had different gear ratios and were quicker off the line than the later versions, but rule of thumb when buying a car, was that never buy the first year of a new model, and wait till the company gets all the kinks and bugs out...

If you're looking for some good F355 info, go here http://www.nsxfiles.com/stories.htm , check out chapters 50, 38 & 27 . The owner of the website races an NSX & owns a F355. Lets just say he really "drives" the F355.
