Ken, Thanks for the input. I do have the Bean Catalog and color codes from Lotus.net as well. My current challenge is the light switch. I have an extra wire in the circuit to the headlight relay (failsafe headlights), but no diagram of the relay to tell if it is a hot switch or ground switch. I will check the Bean catalog for relay diagrams. I had forgotten they had them in there. Thanks, Tony

The Dave Bean catalog has the Lucas color codes in it and this is much easier to use than the shop manuel's wiring diagram. It's made eliminating the gremelins in my 72 Europa a lot easier. I'll bring it from home and send it to you if you don't already have it. |

Too many projects, too little time 83 308QV - Time for the 30,000 Service 58 190 SL - New top and then on to the king pins 73 Lotus Elan - Rewiring after an unpleasant visit from mice a few years ago. It is amazing the damage they did to the wiring, and the vacuum lines. Also, Lotus wiring diagrams are an approximation at best. 56 T_Bird - all done |

Looks like a cool bike. I assume the bike has Brembo's and 10 speed twist grip shifter(instead of paddles ala F1). What are the service intervals? LOL. Ciao. |

My 30 year old Lotus Europa is one continual project but that's half the fun! My passenger electric window died over the weekend but was an easy fix; just a loose connection. Even a 'perfect' car like mine always has something to upgrade or replace. |

I considered Spinergy's for my Proworks(DeVinci)/Amp FS bike, but went with Spin's instead. Less expensive for the same weight. I didn't quite trust those paper-thin spokes I'll send photos of my bikes to you Bret, this thread has kinda wandered off to: "Bikechat.com". |

This back two years ago. Now it's got a black Thomson Elite seat post and a black stem, looks better and lighter. Oh, and Time clipless pedals. I couldn't find any of the pics I just took a couple weeks ago, who knows where they went.

Yeah I had Foxs Alps 5R on it. I have the more modern swingarm setup, which is still used on the Jekyll for instance (rear triangle which pivots right above the BB). Not that banana like swingarm that they used to use. I've found air/air shocks to be a little blah. Nowhere near as nice as air/oil or coil overs. I got the last version of the Fox Vanilla, cool shock. The new shocks have a different stroke so wont work on the Cannondale from anywhere before like 2000. Damn, my 1997 is getting old now. It's so trick though with spinergy carbon fiber rims and all. I was looking at the new Cannondale Scalpel, but I like my bike, not gonna switch for awhile yet. Biking is great, it's the only fun exercise other than sex, and for those of us that don't have wives (and some that do) it can be a lot of work to get the latter one at times. Ahh, college though, wasted girls, it's great. |

Sorry, it just came to mind: Cane Creek made (I think still makes) that air/air shock. |

Bret, Fox air/oil? If you have the older cantilever-beam rear sus. style on your Cannondale, the air/oil is better suited to the rising rate of that design. I can't remember which company it was (I think Risse) made a real trick air/air shock which weighed nothing and performed very nicely. Rock Shox has some really good air/oil shocks as well. Ever since I got the Ferrari, my bikes have been set aside to gather dust... |

That's classy as hell, lawnmower racing. I love cutting the lawn, we have a Cub Cadet tractor. Sometimes the landscapers come and do clean up and all, but other than that I get supreme allied command of the lawn. I love it when it's got that fresh cut and it's perfectly even and soft. I may be a dork, who knows, but I love cutting the lawn. I also always time myself, forever searching for that perfect pattern of efficiency. The only other project I have is my mountain bike which is somewhat of an ongoing project based on how many things I break at any given time. I just blew the rear shock (design flaw IMO, pressed in fitting blew out, seems oversized to me for that to happen) so I haven't ridden in like two weeks waiting for my new one to come in (much more diesel, coil over, etc and about the same weight). |

LC, that lawnmower racing looks dangerous. Lawnmowers are kind of heavy, i wouldnt want one tipping over on me. |

84 chevy van: nwe engine (Chevy 383 engine, a 350 with a 400 crank installed, with fuel injection, about 400hp), 4 wheel drive, new paint, stereo, new interior. To be used as a kart hauler, and since I couldn't get a full sized van with 4 wheel drive, I decided to build one from my old motorcycle hauler. |

I must admit, I went crazy after I bought my TR... I can admit this after I saw those pics with someone having a Ferrari in their living room . Now I´m looking to customize my lawn mower to "Ferrari Specs". This means it will get a Ferrari red exterior, cream leather seat with embroidered Ferrari Horse, couple of nice F1-sponsor stickers and Ferrari emblems. All four wheels will be polished to near chrome shine. The 15.5 bhp engine will be left stock, its already loud enough (have to think those neighbours as well ;). But oh boy, it sure will look good together with my "Fefe". The other project is a bit more sane, a Harley Davidson custom bike (my previous Harley was stolen from parking area 5 months ago). I´m just starting the project, so at the moment I only know it will have 255 rear tire and solid frame with no rear suspension. I´m still browsing the Easyrider to get a vision how the bike will look like in the future. I guess I´m not the only one having other projects than my Ferrari. Well anybody? Show us how crazy you are Ps. Another reason to leave the lawn mover engine stock, otherwise I have to upgrade the suspension and brakes and... well, look at the picture
