Rob,
If I remember correctly it was a 288GTO Tailing you when you gave me a family ride at 90mph.
Nice memory!

Chris,

Please contact me off of the list. I've met you a few times and rode in the F355 a few times prior to moving to St. Louis.

Looking forward to talking.

Take care

Love to take you up on the ride! Add me to the list. I purchased the F1 pass so I'll join in on all events. That's going to be a great week. E-mail me direct if you like.

Chris, don't torture me.
Actually, I'm getting some new photos of the 275, now that it is out of the paint shop. With any luck, it will be ready for summer. I just don't know which summer. 2002, 2003, 2004...
As for me, I'm off to do a little skiing this weekend at Steamboat. The newsletter is finished and mailing Wednesday. See you next week.

FYI...
FCA-SW has secured an entire level of the parking garage at the Century Plaza Hotel for Ferrari parking. This should make FCA-LA a much more enjoyable week.

Rob, Roland is a very good friend. He will be in Kansas soon. I can not remember if he is going to FCA/LA. I called Roland just now and left a message on his cell, as soon as I know if he is going I'll let you know. Roland was my first driving coach, he is great! Dana and I sponser Grant Maiman in the Formula Dodge Series, so Grant works with me now. I am a lousy driver, but I try.

I tried to get Roland in my car, not really because I wanted instruction (all though anything helps), I just knew he was famous and I thought that would be cool. I ended up getting one of the Porsche guys and scared the heck out of him. I wasn't holding much back, I drive hard and harder. Luckily I went the entire week with no wheels off. The best part was having Shirley's (I believe) 250 GTO come up on my bumper during the family ride arounds.

Dave, I am the President of FCA / Kansas City Chapter! You know my friend Hank Noble. Your instructor was Roland Linder, he is Belgium. Roland lives in Colorado. He has a F40LM. Roland is a professional driver, and has driven and won at LeMans. You had a great instructor. I hope you come to LA! email me and I will give you my number, Chris

I am from Austin--good memory! The 550 is great. It is getting new tires put on today. I am at around 9600 miles after driving to the west coast & back with my wife last September. Not sure if I'm going to LA yet. However, as the new president of the FCA Hill Country chapter, I probably will... Unclear if I will ship the 550, though. I remember your Daytona, as it had the most glorious sound as it left the Concours! :-) Not sure about Grant. There was an instructor who went with me for a few laps [and I spun when he forgot to tell me about a braking point :-( ] but I don't remember his name. He was about 45, with a German accent, I think...

Dave, I just went and looked at your profile and saw your 550, I have to admit I didn't recognize you, all I saw was the back of your 550! Hi Dave! (yes we were hauling it!) I hope you are going to FC/LA. How is the 550 doing? I hope we have better parking in LA than we did in Dallas. I am trying to remember where you are from, I know you drove your 550 to Dallas. I want to say San Antonio or Austin, but I think I am wrong. I'm from Kansas City. We bought the F40 in October. I only had a three car for Ferrari's so the Daytona had to go bye bye. Did Grant Maiman, my friend from Skip Barber ride with you last year at the track?

We do. Remember FCA in Dallas last year? I was in my silver 550 behind you in your 355 w/Tubi's as we hauled ass back to the hotel from the Motorsports Ranch track. We met in the parking garage.

If I can make it I will. I have a coach that is similar to your rig. they would look cool together with our F40's in front. I agree, would make a cool FerrariChat gathering spot.

hopefully, see you there.

I am taking the F40 to the FCA meet in LA, if anyone wants to go for a ride on the track and has a FCA pass, look me up, I have room! Bring your helmet. I will be at the track on Saturday and Sunday. There will likely be several F40's there, mine has an Evolution wing on the back instead of the stock wing. I will most likely be parked next to my transporter, a white F800 Ford tractor with an 11' motorhome conversion with Cavallino's on the side and a 43' white trailer, please stop in and see me! Maybe we can get a bunch of us together and use this as a Ferrarichat hospitality area? Anybody interested?
