How do they fit all that extra stuff in and electronics? When I was talking about trans I should have been more specific come to think of it. I was thinking more along the lines of the whole shabang, bellhousing, etc. I guess they could have the shift rod moved electronically/ hydraulically and the trans itself be the same. Damn, I never really thought about this stuff, now I'm interested and feel morally obligated to look it up. Doing my homework for tomorrow is a waste of time anyways.

At least on the 360, the transmission is interchangeable between the F1 and manual. I think it is the same way on the 355, but I am not sure...

They are both six speed manual transmissions. The F1 uses steering wheel mounted paddle shifters that disengage/engage the clutch and change the gears in a fraction of a second.

Yes, I believe the trans is different between the two of them.

The whole trans is different as far as I know. It's a whole different molding to incorporate the hydraulics, but it's the same gears and ratios and all.

Style wise they look the same from the outside, inside only difference is the shifter vs paddles. Check out www.ferrarina.com to check the stuff out.

Definitely. The whole transmission is a completely different technology. Paddle shift on the column with no clutch pedal. Similar to the Formula 1 cars.

One of my friend's has mentioned that there is something called an F1 (style) package for the 355. Are there any style differences between them other than the shifter?
