Ralph, I have a 4 page article on what to look for when buying a TR. If you supply me with your fax number, I'd be happy to send it over. Please e-mail the number to [email protected] Howard |

I have an 87 TR. The TR's are great GT cars. They are reliable, fast, and handle well. The only weak links are the seat belt tracks...they go bad, but Ferrari will replace them (you pay for the install). The second place to look at is the fuse board...check for 'hot spots' and check all the connections. They will go bad if the connections aren't kept clean and solid. I've had mine since '93 and have loved it. Make sure that the car has been maintained correctly AND in a timely fashion. Other than that....go have fun!! |

Greetings: I am looking for a nice original (few owners) (no wrecks) late Pre 92, TR. Any advice on what to look for (problemas) would be appreciated. Any idea what is the current price range? 55-65K? What about Euro imports? Any place on the car that is vulnerable to rust? Is 20K on the clock, a good range to look for? (This ain't the first or last time ), I know this has been posted before! Please provide any advice that might help. I have just begun to slowly look. [email protected] Ciao Ralph |
