What did the charge Martin? Cause I'm not gonna pay the same amount as it would be to get a good used one. Besides I would like to have a good base price.

That patch job that the previous owner did on the car was soooo aweful. They caked on bondo and then glued a strip of black rubber floor runner all the way around. If you don't know better you think it is how the car is supposed to look. Actually when I tell people I need a new one they say "Really?". Then after I point out what is wrong they see it.

I wrecked mine twice. Paul S. can attest to one time:-)

Both heavy hits with pices missing. Both times it was fixed in a body shop-. You can not tell.

I talked to my friend with a body shop. He is nuts too told me about $1,200 to fix it. Even people you know will try to sacm your a** when it comes to a Ferrari, it's a sad thing. The one on Ebay is a resonable price, but he has a reserve price on it, wonder what it is?

I'm informed that body parts are available in China, given that country's unfortunate treatment of prisoners, who are essentially forced to donate organs, and the like, immediately upon execution.

It is fiberglass and that is very easy to repair and make it look like new. If it was SMC it would cost a bit more. That one on ebay is super cheap. I would consider buying it as a spare for that price! :-)

Doody, yes I will, it is really very cool! Fly yellow! My office chairs are carbon fiber Series Speciale seats in tan leather. My desk chair is a MOMO race seat. It will be a couple of weeks before I can do it but I will, thanks for your interest.... Chris

Ernie:

the front bumper on 348s is a problem. I have never seen a 348 without scraps on the bumper. The solution is to have it sectioned, so that you have an extra 1/2 to 1" of clearance. A good body shop, dealing with Ferraris can do that for you, but it will cost about 1500 2000 for that repair. The guy up here (SF) that I use is California Auto Repair in Oakland, but I am told that the Ferrari repair shop in Culver City can also do that. I forget their name, but Ferrari of Beverly Hills uses them for their repairs, and you can probably get their name from them.

SON OF A BISCUT $3,500 for a freeking bumper is what I call crazy, they can suck my a**. No way am I gonna pay that kind money. I had an oldsmobile that I replaced the entire front end myself. The whole thing cost me $100.

Yeah I have considered having it repaired. The bumper is fine, but the air dam is crushed pretty bad. I'm not sure it can be repaired properly. I will look into it though.

I had to order a new one a while back and it took 6 months and $3500. Don't wait. Either have it repaired or get a reproduction. You should be able to find a reproduction for under $1900.

Ernie have you had a body shop look at yours? I had mine repaired and you could not tell. This might be cheaper than even a used one, hey just a thought, but as often as those spoilers take a hit any way to save some money is a good thing! Good luck again Ernie! Chris

Ernie, Bill at GT car parts in Phoenix should have what you need, Call Chris Hill at Autosport Gallery 913 402 1710. Bill is primarilly wholesale, so talk to Chris Hill, he will help you.

Ernie when I got my 348 I left the dealership and drove 2 blocks before I realized I went the wrong way, I pulled into a business to turn around and I knocked the right front corner off the spoiler, I had put less than 2 miles on the car! Good luck, Chris

What is the best place to buy body parts from? I have a 348 that has the bottom part of the front air dam totally racked up from scraping. The prices I have see for the new ones are sooo freekin expensive. I will take a good used one, but I will not pay the outlandish prices they are asking for a new one! Any leads?
