These Ferraris sure do get around. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1813038073 I saw this car in Long Branch, NJ last summer. A used car dealer was asking $24000 for it. AC was dead, missing a windshield wiper (still gone), no grill (still gone), front seats were trashed, fair paint, etc. No emissions controls. No records at all except the receipt for engine work. Judging by that receipt, the car travelled 11000 miles in 18 years. Judging by the *condition*, the true number might be just a little higher. It ran well though. Suprisingly solid. Interesting aside: when I spoke to a local Ferrari mechanic about a pre-purchase inspection, he said he wouldn't do it because he was friends with the seller and it would be a conflict of interest. I interpreted that to mean that I might be better off without that particular car. YMMV |
