I am not telling you what to do but anyone on this site will tell you that an independent mechanic who KNOWS what he is doing will take care of you better. Mike at European motors used to be the head mechanic at Ferrari of Great Neck before it move out on the Island. He is factory trained and knows his stuff pretty well. He also warranties his work. Give him a call and talk to him. As for buying a car from a dealer, personally, I would never again. You are better off buying it from a private owner as you can see what type of person he is and how he took care of his car. A dealer has access to all records and could forge their own documents and say the car had this and that, and never did anything to it. I've seen done before at other dealers. The dealers look at you as a dollar sign as compared to an independent mechanic who relies on you and your opinion of his work to earn a buck. But the ultimate choice is yours.

I had very bad experiences on Dealerships, I don't really want to say which one, but same problem here.

I took the car in for a regular 30K service, and got it back in worse condition. Overheated/Replaced unnecessary parts, other parts broke due to their mistake (of course they don't admit it, they said the part is getting old) Ya, right. Nothing was wrong before I took it in, until the service and then overheated. Etc. etc. etc. I can go on and on.......

Anyhow, I am all happy with my new mechanic/he has his own shop and only services Ferrari's.

If anyone is in the Bay Area, and wants a reliable and trustworthy mechanic. Send me an e-mail

James

Anyone owning a ferrari living in the tri state are please do not take your car to miller motors in greenwich. Took my TR last year there for a 30,000 mile service and got the car back in worse condition than I gave it in. I had Mike at European motors in Huntington redo the service at half the cost and the car came out unbelievable. If you know what is good for your Ferrari do not take it to Miller motors
