550, cheap now too and will be worth more alot later than the 456. Doesn't seem to me the 575 is that much better.

I agree with everyone. Go with the 550 As Jeffrey said, "hands down." I'll also add that it could quite possibly be the most exciting Ferrari since the 250 GTO.

I would say the 550 not 575 just because there is probably a 100k difference between the two. a 550 with some miles on it goes for like 180k maybe? the 575M wouldnt be avaiable for sometime plus if u buy it u pay luxury tax ( i think) and other things..
so the 550..so many of them avaiable

If I had that kinda money why not just get the new 575M. It can be ordered with the F1 semiautomatic transmition, standard rims are 18" but optional 19" rims can be ordered. Imagine those things chromed out! Not to mention the power output is rated at 515hp, top speed is 202 and a the weight transfer is 50/50. That is the way I would go if I had the funds to do it.

You get what you pay for, expecially in the case - get a 550 - an exceptional all-rounder.

I would definitely go with the 550 if you don't need the extra seats. If the prices in the US are similar to here in Sydney, then I'm guessing the 456 is a lot cheaper. You really have to weich up the costs. My next-door neighbour owns a beautiful blue 456GT, and I don't think it is as good a driving experience as a 360, let alone a 550. It's more of a cruiser than a sports car. Either way though, when buiying a Ferrari, you can't go wrong, can you? :-)

What would you guys in your infinite wisdom recommend for a 12 cyl Ferrari, a 456 or a 550. Or do you save the loot and go with the Modena?
