The corrosion issue is real... there are several stories of people getting radios installed in their 360's and being bewildered when the radio falls out of the dash a year later... the steel screws mounted in the aluminum dash resulting in corrosion that so weakened the area that it just falls apart. Furthermore, I don't really want holes cut in my firewall arbitrarily. I'd really prefer to get the Factory-designed harnesses with factory-designed hardware and mount it into the firewall as designed... I just wish I knew what that was. Does anyone have the factory harnesses as installed by the factory? If so, some photos would be GREATLY appreciated. Brian

When you attach other metals to aluminum you do have corrosion issues, such as with hom electrical wiring. According to the electrical code you just use this goo you smear on the contact point and you won't have a problem. I've used it, probably cost ya about $2 at you local electric supply store or home depot. You would probably never have serious corrosion anyway, I think they only require it for houses because the house may last 100 years. |

How long does it take to buckle up a harness? How long does it take to adjust one to fit you? |

Harnesses can be easily stowed behind the seats when not in use. ACR Vipers come from the factory with both harnesses and conventional restraints. Would be nice if this was an available option with US 360's, IMO. Re: adding harnesses. I've been told that the hardware/bolts used to mount harnesses must be compatible with 360s aluminum structure to avoid corrosion issues. May wish to discuss w/factory service tech prior to install. |

I would like to have a harness that I can put on for track events, but remove for street. Is such a thing available for the 360 Spider? Is it easy to install/remove? I do not have racing seats. |

I have a set of the Challenge seats and harnesses which I bought, after a lot of effort, from Maranello, the UK importer. The harness are stock OMP, 4 inches wide and are attached to the rear bulkhead. The seats are manufactured by OMP as well but inscribed with the Ferrari Challenge script. If you need, I can take a picture this week-end and e-mail to you. |

I would contact a dealership that participates in the Challenge. Try Lake Forest Motorsports in Illinois. Either that, or one of the bigger racing suppliers. One I know of is Northstar Motorsports. They have a website, which I think is northstarmotorsports.com. |

I have the factory racing seats in my 360, but not the racing harness. Does anyone know the details of how the harness is mounted? Or a good source for the factory harnesses? Or an alternative? Thanks, Brian
