The system Jens refers to was in place when i was in the Netherlands a few months ago, and on a trip from Amsterdam to the Hague, our driver changed routes; when i asked about the nav system, he explained that it captured realtime road and traffic condition data, and displayed it in such a way that he was alerted to a traffic jam on our originally intended route. Gee, and we're still figuring out how to make EZ-Pass work!

I am still sorting things out. The car is silver with black interior with daytona seats. They are asking in the neighborhood of $270k(US).

This is not for me. I was just given a task to get a Merc SLR(first choice) or 575M....and it has to have automatic/clutchless tranny.

I am using exactly the same navigation system in my daily car which is a BMW Z3. The system can be built in directly from Ferrari and is a Becker Traffic Pro. Very good system but it lacks a greater screen. You can not look at a detailed map though the performance is one of the best available in Europe. They even introduced a new CD which enables the radio to "read" traffic messages so the system automatically calculates a route around the traffic jams. All in all a very small but highly effective navigation radio which fits in the usual radio slots for normal car radios.

Does that navigation system show you the shortest route to the nearest dealer service department, or the most scenic route to the nearest dealer service department?

That's right. Both the F-575 and D-360 can be had with a navigational system. I have one in both my M5 and my wife's Honda Odyssey and use it regularly going to places I havn't been before. The Honda system is much better than the BMW one.

I just got off the phone with an exotic car broker in Vancouver BC about a 575M-F1 that they have available. He told me that the car has the optional navigation system.

You can get a Ferrari with a navigation system now ??? Is that for real?
