Richard, if you search the archives you'll find two posts about aftermarket 550 exhausts.....
They're very detailed and helpful (I should know -I posted most of the questions).

Most of the the feedback regarding exhausts is that Tubis are too annoying and bassy.... Look also at other marques like Koenig-Specials which is increasingly popular before you come to a decision.

One thing is certain though - the 550 needs a proper exhaust - its too quiet.

Tom, what is your email address. Your profile has an @home address that does not work. I've got some info for you on Tubi but too long to post on the forum.

Gents: Have registered the 360 Modena at the owners site and been doing some reading on the 575 due June 2003. Continenetal Autosports in Hinsdale (Chicago) suggested going right to the Tubi style exhausts. The Tubi's eliminate the butterfly valves and are much throatier. Does anyone know about Tubi's on 550's? Did they help? Did it increase performance? Did it sound better? Does anybody go with the 100 cell racing catalytic converters like you see on all the Porsche 996TT's? Does the onboard computer gradually readjust for these exhaust changes? And when do we get all the cute graphics for these posts like on www.rennlist.com??
Loving this site. Thanks
Doc

Go to the Ferrari.it web site and under videos, they have a quick <4 min. video on the 575M. It is an awesome car, I had the chance to see one in person, and it is beautiful inside and out.

Richard T. -- FORZA #37 (May 2002) has a 1-page summary (lightly) detailing the differences between the 550 and 575 (with a 575 "photo"). They also state that FORZA #38 will have a larger/more detailed 575 article and that FORZA #39 will have 575 test drive results.

They have a free screensaver that you can add pictures to. I have over 500 Ferrari pictures in mine, set to change every 10 seconds.

TomD: Thanks a lot. The pix of the 575 are great. What a way to learn and whet my appetite. This looks like real classy ride. Wish I knew how to make that pix a screen saver.

Gents: Have put down the $10K deposit on a June 2003 F 550 Maranello which rumor has it will become the 575. Is there anywhere I can read about this new model, see pix, etc.???
