Can someone tell me what the surface material is on these. I read where soemone had painted them black as if they were a metal surface. If fact they appear to have a vinyl coating in which case painting them would not make sense. I have cleaned them with armor all which seems to get rid of the grey weathered look that appears over time. Any thoughts?
