Craig, even the radar/laser jammers the U.S. Navy uses on its planes do not work that great and they cost millions. In fact the Naval aviators I know say the chaft works a lot better than the jammers. I doubt that any product sold by Snooper work very well if at all. Why don't you try it out with a laser gun yourself first. Most racetracks have radar and/or laser guns who would be happy to shoot your car to see if your jammer works.

Thanks Frank, there was independant testing done over here which showed (some of them) to work, others were as you said completely useless.

I've got a snooper S5 which seems to work pretty well and also license plates that can not be photographed by flash photography.

The best deterrant seems to be the small block of wood under the accelerator though;)

Craig, from all the tests I have read jammers don't work. The only test that claim they do are the ones done by the manufacturer themselves. I would take it back to where you got it and buy me a Valentine 1 or a Passport 8500. They work !

Its the Snooper SLD920 over here. The sensors are about 2 inches wide by about 3/4 inch high so yes it would maybe fit into the foglight panel, I'm always pretty wary of cutting the actual car though.

For the furthest distance apart, you may consider drilling holes into the black blends that cover the screws that hold the lower fog light assembly. These pop right out. Need to use a little force to pry them out. Behind there is the cable string for the foglights so good access to power as well. This is a little more off the usual mounts.

HAd no idea that you guys had jammers in the UK.

The front grill on the 348 is strictly cosmetic, as you have discovered. I don't think cutting small holes in the baffle behind the grill would harm anything, unless there are electrical wires or hydraulic hoses behind there, which you would see when you remove the grill and baffle.

As a countermeasure against license loss here in the uk I am considering having a blinder(laser jammer) fitted on my '94 GTS.

The two sensors need to be mounted in the front grill as wide apart as possible. The 348 has a perfect grill however, has what seems to be metal or very hard plastic behind it.

My question is, what does this plate do? if I have it cut to allow the fitment of the sensors will it cause me any problems?

Thanks guys.
