Its a Hennessey Venom 600. Its been on the cover of Motor Trend (not my car another Venom). I guess it could be compared to what Koenig does for Ferrari. It puts out 600 HP and its all motor (no SC, turbo, or spray) I still want a 355 though. I have an ad in Ferrari Market Letter to see if I can work a trade for a 355F1. I don't know if the early vipers spin easy. I think maybe it that it produces so much torque down low that it can get away from you quickly in a turn. Did your buddy's lotus have the wood dash? Thats the only thing that I don't like about Lotus. I live about 20 min south of Boston. Email me if you are going to be around.

Jake, what work did you have done to your viper to have it putting out that much power. A car with that much power will distort your perception of all other cars. I remeber when i first drove my friends camaro 3 summers ago, it was the first really powerful car i ever drove (340hp with mods). Everything else felt slow

I actually might be up there at the end of the summer, i'll definately be in Boston soon though, how far are you from there? I've heard early vipers had some sort of suspension problem causing them to spin easily, is there any truth to this? If he was looking into an earler car i guess i'd agree with you, having never been in a viper, or early esprit. The NSX's do lack power, but have handling that is very sharp, i could just have this impression because its the only mid engined car i've driven though.

HI Tim. I am assumed he was talking about the single turbo "older" s4's. I think that they are rated at about 280HP or so. the same year vipers are at 400 and the NSX comes in at 270 (3.0) or 290 (3.2) all are fine cars. I was pointing out the most bang for the buck was the viper (in my opinion) I just thought this because the 308 is about a 35k car +/- and a good used nsx, viper, or lotus would fetch a similar amount. A new lotus would be $70k I think?? Tim come up to Cape Cod. My viper is putting out over 600 HP!!!! I suspect its a hair faster that a new Lotus!!!! The lotus is sweet still

Im pretty sure the Esprit isnt down on power. Billy Z took me out in his and it was the fastest thing ive ever been in. Then again, he has a sport 350, which is very light. It has an extrememly detuned twin turbo v8 with 350hp. Billy's car is faster than a viper, or so ive seen.

If you are going to choose from those three, get the viper. I owned an nsx,I loved it, they are nimble, but lack power. I have nothing bad or good to say about the esprit, but they are most likely in the same boat as the NSX (low power). I have a viper if you ever want to go for a ride and are in the Boston area

Give me some info on your car.
year miles etc and how much you think the car is worth.
I may have a buyer and you can walk in cash into the dealer and negotiate a better price.
