Looks like the 928S is an S2. Subtle differences to an S, including a little more engine power. I had an '84 928S2 and detailed it all over, the new owner is picking up some concourse firsts over here with it apparently. Agreed they were a well underated car, great cruiser, great sound, great rear end. |

Jeffrey - email me at [email protected] and I'll get back to you with my mobile phone number. Look forward to meeting up and, amongst other things, talking about this awesome garage. |

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone. I had a few qualms about posting pictures of the Porsches on this Board! I had a lot of doubts when I built this thing but, after watching the market go up in smoke I'm glad to see some real assets everyday when I go outside rather than a sinking portfolio every quater. I rationalized the garage/cars to my wife by saying "it's simply diversifying our portfolio." The decorations were aquired over a two year period by carefully watching EBay, contacting archive stores and watching the Boards. There's a lot of neat stuff out there but I'm still looking for one last Ferrari banner from the Rodeo Drive show. If anyone has a lead on one, let me know! Manu, dinner is still on in London: I think we'll be there for a week starting on or about August 8. |

Sweet garage man! Love the 928. My Mom drives a guards red 944 Turbo. Some of the '80's Porsches were so much fun! Patrick |

Jeffrey, That is one badass garage, nicely decorated to boot. How long did it take you to aquire all the wall hangings. |

Hi Doody: hope you're enjoying the 355 (finally!). The flooring is epoxy paint applied over a new concrete floor. After having tile outdoors I decided there's just no way to prevent cracking in the Ohio climate. The paint was not Griot's, but rather, an industrial-type compound that this specialty painter found. It was a bear to apply and he told me that he actually lost money on the job. I think he was telling the truth as when I asked him to do my other garage, he turned me down. So it's not a product that I'd recommend to an amateur. The drop top is not a 993_ I got rid of that when I bought the new turbo. It's a supercharged boxster that's been dyno'd at over 300 bhp. A beautifully balanced ride for flinging around corners. Finally, the 928S. It's an '85 with about 200,000 miles on it. An amazing car-I always thought it had gotten a bum rap with the P-people just not ready to accept a water-cooled engine. Sort of ironic, considering the current line-up of P-cars. Water was always good enough for Ferrari so I never worried about it! As long as I'm careful about changing the timing belt, I'm hoping that car will last forever-it STILL has the original exhaust and is my daily driver when the weather turns nasty. Obviously though, it's not in the same league as the 550. Here's a few more pics.

Jeffrey: Glad to hear all is well with the 550. Very nice shots of the Garage Mahal :-) What's the flooring? Is it vinyl tile or something else? It seems to have lines or divisions in it (b/w 996TT and 550; under the 550's nose; etc.). What's the droptop? Is that a 993? Can't tell from the pic angle. And what flavor 928 is that? I'm a total 928 fan. I think they get a bad rap. Enjoy! Doody. |

Well, both my car and I are finally home at the same time. You may remember that I had coolant problems, pegged the water temp guage, and was afraid that I might have cooked the engine. Everything checked out fine and the only part needed was an auxillary water pump for about $500.00. Also waiting for me was a new digital camera so I can finally post some pictures. Here are my first attempts: I'm sure that I'll get better as it's a 5 megapixel and I'm just starting to learn it.
