Since buying my 328 last March I have received a wealth of helpful information from this forum. What I have been looking for however was an opportunity to give something back and today I found it. Here goes.

Problem. Shift ball characters faded. How to refresh.

Materials. Red touch up paint, thin rag such as a t shirt, mineral spirits and a toothpick.

Procedure. Dip toothpick in paint and smear on the characters getting it good and deep into the indentations. Don't worry about getting paint on the black part of the ball.

Put mineral spirits on the rag and lightly go over the ball. All of the red paint will come off nicely leaving only the paint in the indentations. Let dry and repeat.

Works like a charm.
