It has been asked about hosting videos. Due to vendor delays, Wapinski's, Inc. new facility is delayed about 3 weeks. After that, we can host Ferrari videos (non-commercial use) for free. Only requirement is videos in good taste and we reserve the right to decide what is in good taste.
Initially 1/4 teribyte of RAID 5 storage with easy expansion up to about 5 teribytes. Hot spare extra hard drives. Large amount of memory on each hard drive and controller.
Secure facility.
Full fire equipment.
Full tempture and humidity (sp) control.
Computer backbone of 1 GH rather than 100 MB.
Wired for 1,200 amps. Besides battery backup, backup generator capable of powering about 500 homes. 24 hours of fuel. Fuel contracts with multiple vendors.
Multiple vendor hookups to the Internet, equal to about 70 T-1 lines.
Lights out planning - everything is constantly monitored so that problem areas are discovered before failure and alarms sent out (HAL II ???). This is in addition to almost everything being redundant.
Next year we will open a geographically distant mirror facitity.
