With all of these F-chatters there we should have made an effort to meet each other. Next year we should organize something. |

What a great show! Drove 8 hours each way and showed my 308(no awards) and had a great time. I enjoyed the Italian Style Concours much more than Meadowbrook! Got to see some very unique and gorgous Italian cars as well as the usual selection. Surely this event will grow to become a major show. |

Nice to see the Bizzarrini photo but, Holy Hypocrits Batman!!! Imagine the cardiac arrest from the Ferrari afficianados when they popped the hood on the Bizzarrini. Wouldn't they have found a Chevrolet 327??? |

It was a great show. Couldn't decide to vote the Bizzarini or the 250 GT California best of show. Seeing the pics again, I think most of them qualify. But the 250 is my kinda Saturday afternoon car.

Yeah, Dave, I pretty much expected to see a bunch of current machinery--which is okay--but I was pleasantly surprised. Someone put a lot of work into this event, and I can't wait until next year. |

That's right Andrew. Boxers were never officially imported into the U.S. Any Boxer that is here, whether it is a 365 or a 512, was a grey market car. |

Nice pictures, Bill. It's about time that we see some of the pre-1974 Ferraris come out to one of the shows. I really miss seeing the older cars at the events. |

The 8th car down is a Drogo body on a 1958 250 GT chassis. The car you are referring to in pics 3 & 4 is a Bizzarini. The yellow Boxer is a 365BB garage queen. Only has 4,000 kms on it. The owner bought it 22 years ago with 1,900 kms. He also has a 412 with 3,000 miles. Shame. The yellow Daytona Spider belongs to Edsel Ford II, and was formerly owned by Roger Penske. Must be strange for Ford to be exhibiting at his Grandfather's house... The car in picture 2 is Peter Kalikow's 1961 400 S.A. The formula car is a 1968 Ferrari Formula 2 car like what Chris Parr is searching for. It was driven by Chris Amon and Vitorio Brambilla and came 2nd in the 1968 Tasman Championship. The strange looking car behind the Drogo in picture # 8 is a Farago CF 428. Never heard of it before, but it supposedly was designed by a guy named Paul Farago who worked for Ghia. It looked like a Ford Torino to me, and the 428 moniker reinforces that opinion since that was the displacement of the Ford big block. It is owned by a guy named Frank Campanale who is Farago's nephew. He also has a Maserati Ghibli and the program claimed that Farago designed the Ghibli, but I always heard that Giugiaro did that car. |

Had a great day at the Concours Italian Style at the Edsel Ford House. Met F-Chatters John Bicsak and Skip Vandenberg and had a great time. John won his class with his sparkling 308 GTS QV! Here are some pictures. John & Carol Bicsak and their prize winning 308:
