Tim I sent you an e-mail last night. Not sure if you got it or not. Yes I have a system for the QV. People here have been calling it the Millermon Conversion. I have in the works to start production for the 246 also. |

Ben, Does yours work on the 3.2. I have not heard back from you in regards to it working on a QV. I am confused! |

I too have a Mondial 3.2 (coupe) and am in Sydney. I have been looking at replacing the entire ig system with the Electromotive system but the cost is around US$1500 which is close to the cost of a whole replacement ECU! If any of my ignition system fails in the short term then that is what I will use rather than spending a kings ransom on OEM ferrari ignition parts! FYI their are a few threads on this board about replacing your ignition system if you have a look. Nicks Forza Ferrari at http://www.nicksforzaferrari.com sells the Elctromotive system as a "Ferrari 3XX" Kit complete with covers for the removed distributors, timing sensor mount etc. They are located in Washington, USA. My Mondial was running on one cylinder bank for the first mile or so and then the second bank would kick in. After changing over the coils there was still no improvement. I then checked the dizzy on the dud bank and found that the HT from the coil had burned itself and some of the cap, to the point where no spark could get to the rotor. I repaired the cap (temporarialy) and just cut the HT lead back about 3 inches and refitted. The motor is now as sweet as a nut. I was wondering oes anyone have any idea which FIAT or other motorcars had the same ignition system as the 3.2 V8 i.e. Marelli digiplex MED 803A (i think) |
