Check "308 shocks". I have 100% stiffer springs on my new Ohlins shocks. It works fine but I haven't done any serious testing yet. If I change the spring rate it will not be softer though.

Clark,

I did all the work myself and bought my shocks from FOA and they were under 200 each, they even pressed my bushings in for me. Call Ken there and tell him I sent you 800-522-2345. They are the greatest. I have been buying parts from them since the were FAF and I get all my parts from them TR or GT Car Parts in AZ. The adjusting is easy I set it by the book, can Enzo be wrong??????

Richard,
Where did you get the work done? What is a fair price for shocks? I need new shocks and Ferrari Atlanta quoted me $400-500 each.

Can I make the shocks looser to handle bumps better? How does the adjustment work?

Don,

I just did my entire rear suspension. I would measure your springs if they are in spec they should be fine. I replaced my shocks and all the bushings (stock) and the car feels much better. I would buy new shocks as I had a hard time getting the rears and heard that they were almost all gone. I think that your symptoms sound just like worn shocks and bushings. I did quite a bit of research before I started and the OEM shocks are pretty amazing and fully adjustable. I went stock but you could get poly bushings. My car is all stock except the wheels which I have and I feel much better about it like that. You could also increase the rear sway bar which I am told improves the handling. I would definitely change all the rubber while you are there. I got all my parts from Ken at FOA and Chris at TR.

Hello all, I am in the process of pulling out my Koni shocks and coil springs for rebuilding of the shocks and replacement of the coil springs. I have contacted truchoice and I am going to use them for this job. I have heard that 308 GT4 coil springs are notoriously weak and that stiffer heavier springs are needed for this car. Can anyone else offer their insight on this problem? I am not happy with the stiffness of the suspension currently---it is far too easy for the front end to bottom out and in hard cornering, the front end is making rubbing sounds. Should the "eibach" coil springs be used instead of the OEM ones? Thanks in advance.
