Congrats!! Sorry you had to redo some or all of your work. At least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and its not a big bad train! :-)

OK,

After the last episode, I went back to basics and

1. Disassembled the engine down to the case again
2. Removed the head studs from the block
3. Cut the decks by 0.003"
4. Installed the liners (with no orings) and cut the tops of the liners to .0015" above the decks. Now I am guarranteed a flat deck, and all liner protrusion to spec and level at the same time.
5. New set of head gaskets.

Assembled the engine again and pressurized tested it. Results: NO LEAKS.

I am moving on to the next phase of doing the timing and the belts.
