No matter what vinyl conditioner you use vinyl itself gives off a gas and puts a foggy coating on the windshield. Note on cars that are covered for a long period of time and are subjected to heat they will have the foggy problem worse than usual. |

I only use Leatherique on the interior of the 308 and my Maserati Quattroporte. That stuff is not harsh at all, and really gets nice results. I too have used Meguiars, but recently I used a spray Quik-Wax of theirs and it was the worst product I have ever used EVER. It took me HOURS to get it off the 308, I was THOROUGHLY pissed. DO not use that crap. Armor-All has an ingredient that when the sun heats it, it has a chemical change and makes a haze on glass that is very hard to get off and I have heard it will damage leather. |

Peter, Craig, Interesting comments on the optional leather interiors. I've never seen this before, and will watch out for this option. I also share your feelings about Armor-All. I've seen and heard only horror stories about it. However, I've used "Son-of-a-Gun" for years now, and am nothing but completely satisfied with it. No drying, cracking, color changes, etc. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Jim C. |

You're right Craig, I got one of these cars with full leather, even the on the ceiling. I'll have an expert to look at it this weekend. I got that Armour all problem on my Alfa. Thank both of you. Ciao Peter |

In the past, I've found that plastic restorers like Armor-All make the vinyl look good after application but after the sun beats on it for a while it "dries" and turns whiteish. It will come back to dark black but now you have to use it frequently. Maybe the Meguiars is acting similar? The other problem with vinyl protectors inside a car is the haze they deposit on the inside of the windows. That's why I only use them outside. And, Most 328 dashes were vinyl but I believe there was a leather option which appeared on a very few cars. I think this option included leather on the deck area around the rear window. |

If I'm not mistaken, the dash of your 328 is not leather- it's vinyl. The only part of the dash that's leather is the area around the 3 gauges in the lower center. IMO, I love Meguires products, but don't like the leather cleaner. Meguires is secretive about it's ingredients but it smells a bit harsh. I prefer Tanner's Preserve. Cheap, mild, and it works well on the leather. Consider a vinyl protectant like Son-of-a-Gun for the dash. Good Luck! |

I have used Meguiars Medallion leather cleaner/restorer/protector on all leather in my 328 for about 6 months (3 times on the dash). I have a strange feeling that the black leather on the dash has been bleached a bit during this period. I'm not sure if I should use this product anymore. Do any of you have the same experience or any comment to this? Ciao Peter |
