Bret, I've been following your "restoration" / "refurbishment" and I'll say I'm quite impressed. I'm assuming you don't have a significant other? After fiddling with mine for one hour I hear this "Honey...what are you doing?" |

Tonight I spent like three hours raking fins on the a/c, heater cores, and oil cooler. I'm done with my space shuttle clearance bike rack, took two days. Tomorrow all hell will break loose on the red car. I have a very long list, if I finish half of it I'll be happy. I'll make sure to hit up some pics in the midst of it all. |

If I walked into my garage and looked at all that work, I'd turn around and watch some television. Couldn't handle it.

Nice to see you are getting your hands dirty! Are you going to go over the brakes as well? Just rebuilt all my callipers and master. In case you are interested I have a spare rebuilt master which has been resleeved in stainless (will last forever). All components have been cleaned/polished and new seal kit fitted. Good luck with your continuing mechanical resto ! |

Those old pistons turned upside down make great ashtrays. |

Opps, The line to your A/C is open. Be sure to flush and install a new dryer. But then you knew that. BRGDS, Magoo |

Excellent work Bret, that's pretty ambitious of you to tackle upholstery work in addition to the mechanical restoration... Your old pistons will make great table-top art pieces (great conversation starters: "Yes, those are from when I ripped apart my Ferrari...") |

Today I got to watch the Rangers game while sitting in the passenger's seat of the 308 (in the living room), it was classy. A mess (heater hoses are out, do we really need to put them back in?):
Somethings missing here, come to think of it I can put it all back in now:
This picture makes everything look so gray, it's all black as black can be though. It also makes everything look so ragged, interesting. You can see where that strip of carpet is missing now (in my defense it was kind of tattered before, but needless to say I proved a drop light will in fact melt carpet, needed replacing anyway):
Engine compartment is cleaned up now, finally. Wire brushed it (with a grinder) and then repainted back wall (was black, stupid PO) and the frame, as well as the whole underbody:
The cylinders are so clean now, they'll make great paper weights:
