Henryk, I have just done both sides on my TR. The right side is acessed through the battery box while on the left side, you draw back the carpet, remove 4 screws and there is an acess panel that can be removed. Once you do that, you'll need some thin needle nose pliers and a little patience. |

Henryk, I have done that job myself some years ago. I replace those two small struts after a lot of hard work, including the removal of the headlights... and you know what ...three years or so later, they went bad again...poor design if you ask me. The 308 has a much better design and you never have to replace that front strut ever. Now I keep a wood pole of the correct length and when I raise the hood I stick in in place and won't ever waste the time to replace them again. |

Steve: I like your idea of having the bottom chassis covers off. According to the manual, this should be easy......but who knows? I think I will try this route. |

Henry -- If you go in thru the battery door you can get to the lower RH end (I had the bottom chassis covers off when I did the LH side so no LH experience on a more fully-assembled TR). |

I am about to install these. With the hood up, and the headlights up, I am able to get at the distal ends......how do I get at the proximal ends? Am I corrct in assuming that the headlights must come out of the car? Thanks |
