Good to hear Mark, we should all boycott crap cars advertised, unless as I say for spares, get them off the roads for good, they are a liability and there is always some unscrupulous trader out there prepared to disguise what happened. |

If the car was properly repaired, I see no problem whatsoever. In fact, there is a FC poster whose 328 was totaled back in the late 1980s when it only had a few hundred miles on it. A front clip was installed back then and the car has been great since. In 1999 it won Platinum and Coppa Machina at the FCA National Concours at Atlanta. So it can be done. I would have a thorough inspection done as with any Ferrari purchase. |

Unless of course the rework was documented to the extent of the Bosch agent in Germany with the F40. But even then I wouldnt want topay anything even nearly approaching what a 'never bent' vehicle is valued at. |

IMO 'spares only donor', regardless of how good somebody thinks they've 'repaired' it. I would pay a price that reflected spares breakdown. Only other alternative would be a track hack for someone (but not for me) No offence....Just being honest as I can by telling you how some of us think when out to buy.

Mark, handle it like any other purchase, and get the car thoroughly inspected, to include a compression/leakdown test on the motor. What discount applies from the accident is up to you..... |

mark -- IMO it all gets down to price. You know the mantra from the majority here -- buy perfect, pay high. At the other extreme, if someone wanted to give me a smushed (but decently repaired, quasi-sorted, and running) 348, I wouldn't say no. To say whether it's a 20, 30, 40, whatever $K car needs a good evaluation of the unsmushing, but (unfortunately), regardless of the quality of repair, you've got to think huge discount as both a buyer and future seller IMO. |

there is a 348 that has been on its roof the body has been repaird to a very high standard, but what damage would the engine have seen ,would it still get oil presure if it was running when it went over, the car seems very straight underneath, could the car go on a jig to check alignment would this car be worth bying, the car has covered 5k since |
