Pete whatever you do and whatever manual you get make sure you pay attention to the SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. Now days it is pretty easy to buy and charge 134A systems but you got to watch out for the freon itself as well as the pressures being produced. Also most AC systems work basicly the same so a Haynes manual will work. Study the AC components in your shop manual and compare them to the ones in the Haynes manual.

I'm new to air conditioning service. What basic/reference text would you a/c guys recommend that suits our F-cars, pls... (My first choice would have been Haynes, but it's dated.)
