Also check the connections at the fuse block. I had a similiar problem with my 308 QV Euro. The fuse blocks on these cars aren't very good. When I first bought the car, the electrics would, on occasion, do funny things; I just changed the entire fuse block over to bus type fuses. Everything has worked perfectly since. No more electrical gremlins. Let me know if you need a pic, I'll snap one for you.

Re: the erratic performance of your lights, it may be possible that you have a loose or corroded connection on one of your ground wires in the lighting system. I encountered a similar problem with a Jag a few years ago and tightening a light sytem ground fixed it. Best of luck.

Attach an ammeter in series with your battery to see what the current drain is with everything off. Then start pulling fuses to isolate problem.

My 400E is in shop for this same thing. Everything works but it draws 3 amps with ignition and everything off. Techies are searching. I isolated the circuits by plucking fuses but then could not find exact problem. Probably the darn alarm system.

Current drain should be 10-20 milliamps.

I'm a new owner of an '85 308 GTSi QV Euro and I went to start it for the first time in two weeks and the batt was dead (it's a Bosch and only ten months old). I replaced it and it fired right up but I had no turn signals and when I tried to turn on the headlights, they came up and went right back down. I tried again and the left one came up and went down and I tried it again and then the right one came up and went down. The passing lights do work. I didn't have time to check the brake lights. Any ideas?
