on my 308, it is in the same location. It is about 1 inch wide, screws into the front of the oil case, 2 inches from the engine mount and 2 inches from the shift rod boot. It has one spade connector, and one wire going to it. If you remove it, it should be about 4 inches long, copper/bronze type of material. I installed my back in with a string of teflon tape, and tightened it just enough to seal the threads. Did not use a torque wrench, but I imagine it to be 10-12 lbs and no more than that. It just needs to seal, and not holding up anything. |

On my 80 GTS its on the front sidewall of the oil sump. Its very close to the trans shaft and just below the heat sheild of the exhuast. |

Could someone please tell me the exact location of the oil temp sending unit on an 84 308 QV. What is the best way to get to it? From the top or the bottom of the car? |
