Yes -- it's Swedish in origin (my grandparents came to the US in their early 20s). Good luck with the work -- I still need to do the fuel pump connections myself. |

Steve, Thanks for the diagram - it makes my weekend project a lot easier! Going to run some parallel wires to ease the load across the board. BTW do you have a Scandinavian heritage? The double S in Mangnusson sounds Swedish.

Marcus -- here's the k/j/x/y wiring info for the AC power, water fans, oil fans, and fuel pumps (if you meant something else by "cooling fan" let me know and I'll look into it):
per 509/88 (US TR) and 459/86 (TR - no version given) |

Mine had the exact same problem this morning, there are couple threads on starting problems. Search for solenoid or cold start. I have some fried connectors on the lower passenger size horizontal white connectors, two of the pins are fried. I think one is A/C and I don't know about the other. There are some threads about fixing that as well, by rerouting the fans, A/C off the pin and straight to the relays. I want to do the same, but I just need some help doing it. Gonna call Ben |

Can any of the TR fusebox experts point out which socket/wires the following units are using: AC - (bottom passenger side, second from right?) Water fans - (light blue/white and light blue/black) Cooling fan - ? Fuel pumps - ? I couldn't get my TR to start this morning. The start motor was cranking, and the engine fired for a fraction of a second, and then died. After some troubleshooting I eventually pulled all the fusebox connectors and plugged them back in again. Some did have darkened plastic. The engine started fine after plugging the connectors back in, so I guess it was fuel pump problem. I could hear the fuel pumps running for a second before firing though... any thoughts? Thanks, Marcus
