also, on my 68 vette, my tank had a ton of pin holes, and as a quick fix, I used glass mat and resin, thinking it would hold me for a few weeks till I get a new tank, that was 20 years ago, I finally broke down and got a new tank 2 years ago. |

I am on my fourth fuel tank in 35 years in my Corvair. Water that is in the fuel or condensation sits at the bottom of the tank and eventually rusts through and usually in a lot of small places creating pin holes at the bottom. They make a fuel tank sealer that you can coat the insides of the tank but removal is necessary. |

when you pump the gas, does it leak worse, spill?? I had to change a rubber piece which cracked, that connects the tank to the opening. Just a thought. |

Dealer noticed a 1 drop every 60-90 second gas leak under the car. Described it as the tank is "porous". Explained this does happen over time and not that surprising for an 18+ year old 308. Any advice on how to repair this ? --thanks |
