So, the gearbox takes 4 quarts of oil. How much does the clutch housing take? I can't find this info in my owners manual. |

Thanks guys. I filled the gearbox 1st with a gallon by using the fattest flex tube I can find to fit in the hole, snaked it up to the engine compartment, stuck in the funnel and then did the same for the clutch housing using approximately a pint...per your instructions and my FCar mechanic. Thanks a million! Cheers, TTG |

Just remember, when filling the gearbox thru the transfer case that the passage is small and it takes a while for the level to equalize. Let it run out of the gearbox fill hole for a while before you screw it back in. I use a cheap plastic funnel(largest hole/tube you can find) made with a long extension tube to fit in the transfer fill hole. |

Todd: You can get a cheap pump at any Pep Boys or other auto parts store. Ususlly costs about $7-$10. You can then run a tube from the oil conatiner through the tube into the fill hole. Really easy. In fact, so easy that I did it. |

Todd -- Fill the gearbox (and transfer gear) via the transfer gear (clutch housing) fill hole -- just put a flexible tube onto the end of a small funnel and run the tube into the transfer gear fill hole. |

After I drained the fluid from the gear box differential plug (Olio Cambio) and the clutch housing plug I realized that I am kind of screwed b/c I don't have the equipment that my mechanic has to pump it into the gear box side filler plug and the clutch housing filler plug...I do have a 4 post lift in my home garage (I can stand under it) yet was wondering how I can fill it now. I can have my mechanic pump the correct oil and amount into a container, but then how do I get it in? I am obviously trying to avoid having the car flat bedded to his shop if I can. Is there a special tool that I need to buy? Thanks for the words of wisdom! TTG |
